Privacy Policy
Personal information we collect visiting our website
When you visit the Bitveil website, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, cookies installed on your device, pages viewed, referring websites or search terms, and information about how you interact with the website. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information.”
We may also collect personal data you voluntarily provide to us, including but not limited to name, surname, email address, billing information, payment information, or other information submitted through forms, registrations, orders, support requests, or communications with us.
VeilDVPN app privacy policy
VeilDVPN is a native Android decentralized VPN app built on Sentinel. The app allows users to create or import a self-custodial wallet, interact with the Sentinel blockchain, purchase or claim subscription plans, create pay-as-you-go sessions, and connect to decentralized VPN nodes.
VeilDVPN does not collect, store, or transmit your wallet seed phrase, mnemonic, private keys, or signing keys to Bitveil servers. Wallet credentials are stored locally on your device and are protected using device-level security mechanisms.
You are responsible for safely storing your mnemonic or recovery phrase. Bitveil cannot recover lost wallets, reverse blockchain transactions, or restore access to funds if you lose your recovery phrase.
VPN traffic and decentralized nodes
VeilDVPN connects users to decentralized VPN nodes operated by independent third-party node hosts on the Sentinel network.
Bitveil does not operate or control all Sentinel nodes and is not responsible for the privacy practices, availability, performance, or behavior of independent node operators.
VeilDVPN is designed so that VPN traffic is encrypted before reaching the node. Bitveil does not inspect, decrypt, or log your browsing activity through the VPN. However, because Sentinel is a decentralized network, users should understand that node operators are independent participants and not employees or agents of Bitveil.
Blockchain transparency
Blockchain networks are public by design. Transactions, wallet addresses, balances, subscriptions, sessions, plan activity, NFT ownership, and other on-chain data may be publicly visible and permanently recorded on the relevant blockchain.
Bitveil cannot delete, modify, or hide public blockchain records.
Bluefrens NFT verification and free plan claims
VeilDVPN may allow Bluefrens NFT holders to claim a free subscription plan. To provide this feature, the app or backend may verify whether a wallet address holds at least one eligible Bluefrens NFT.
For abuse prevention and claim management, we may store information such as wallet address, claim status, claimed plan, claim date, expiration date, related transaction identifiers, and NFT eligibility status.
This information is used only to verify eligibility, prevent duplicate or abusive claims, and provide the claimed subscription benefit.
If you are a European resident, we process your information to fulfill contracts we may have with you, provide requested services, and pursue legitimate business interests described in this Privacy Policy. Your information may be transferred outside Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Links to other websites and third-party services
Our website and app may contain links to websites or services not owned or controlled by us, including blockchain explorers, decentralized applications, exchanges, wallets, Sentinel resources, Stargaze, Osmosis, Skip Go, KuCoin, MEXC, Telegram, Google Play, or other third-party platforms.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, services, node operators, RPC providers, API providers, blockchain networks, or external platforms. We encourage users to read the privacy policies of any third-party service they use.
Data security
VeilDVPN stores wallet credentials locally on the user’s device and uses device-level security protections where available. Users should also protect their device with strong authentication such as PIN, password, or biometrics.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, app functionality, legal obligations, or operational practices. Updated versions will be published on the Bitveil website.
